360 FILM FESTIVAL #4: putting immersive content in the spotlight!

As international platform dedicated to all immersive formats (VR/360, AR, large formats), the 360 Film Festival celebrates the energy of creators in new immersive digital formats. The Festival’s fourth edition put on the spotlight technical aspects—which other film festivals often overlook—, with not only three Grand Prizes for VR, AR, large formats, and best screenplay, but also prizes for best interactivity/integration, best immersion, best visuals, best sound design, and best animation across all categories. With these new prizes, the 360 Film Festival is truly dedicated to “innovation at the service of creation,” the baseline of SATIS-Screen4All, the forum which hosts the Festival.

Eclair remasters first french feature-length film for Onyx Cinema LED Technology

Eclair, a leader in content services for the motion picture and television industries, announced the successful remastering of the first French feature film in 300 nits HDR for Onyx Cinema LED screens, Le Chant du Loup (Pathé Films, Trésor Films and Chi-Fou-Mi Productions). Distributed in France by Pathé, Antonin Baudry’s Le Chant du Loup (The Wolf’s Call) is the first release mastered for Samsung’s new emissive technology to be shown at the Pathé Beaugrenelle in Paris.

Xilam Animation to adapt Michael Morpurgo’s bestselling novel Listen to the Moon

French animation studio, Xilam Animation is adapting the multi-million copy bestseller Listen to the Moon, a First World War mystery novel by the award-winning and previous British Children’s Laureate, Sir Michael Morpurgo, into an epic new animation titled Lucy Lost. Development is now underway on the 10 x 26-minute adventure series aimed at a family audience.

EVS Dyvi enables Clique TV to create a new generation of programming

On November 4 – exactly 34 years after Canal+ went on air – the French media group in association with Première Fois Productions, launched Clique TV, a channel dedicated to providing a voice to artists. For the creation of its original content, the new channel worked with facilities provider BOB in France to deploy an EVS Dyvi live production switcher.
