The 360 Film Festival prize for ART was awarded to Frédéric Purgal’s “Atelier d’Utrillo du Musée de Montmartre“, for the creative use of photogrammetry in order to recreate an actual artist’s workshop. Production: Art of Corner, VR, 4′, 2016.
The 360 Film Festival prize for LIVE FILMING was awarded to Richard Nockles‘ “Charlie Winston – Many Me’s” for the quality of its direction, and for its original, fun and fresh design of a one-man band. Production: Surround Vision, 360° video, 3’, 2015, UK.
The 360 Film Festival prize for DOCUMENTARIES was awarded to Richard Nockles‘ “Growing a World of Wonder“, which offers an in-depth exploration of the potential of VR through both its subject and its techniques. Its accessible and efficient storytelling ensures the viewer feels like they’re actually there. Production: Surround Vision, 360° video, 4’, 2015, UK.
The 360 Film Festival prize for FICTION was awarded to Pierre Zondrewicz’ “I Phillip“, for its masterful use of all parameters of VR creation. Production: Okio, VR, 14’, 2016, France.
The 360 Film Festival prize for COMMERCIAL FILMS was awarded to Léon Bérelle, Dominique Boidin, Rémi Kozyra and Maxime Luère’s “Assassin’s Creed – Jack the Ripper” for its technical achievement, smart camera use and powerful effects. Production: Unit Image, VR, 2’, 2015, France.
The 360 Film Festival’s SPECIAL PRIZE was awarded to Marc Zimmermann’s “Longing for Wilderness“, for its refreshing content, with a forwards or backwards dolly shot that ends up in a levitating position. Production: Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, Institute of Animation, Visual Effects and Digital Post-production, 360° video, 3’, 2016, Germany.
