Ymagis Group to Launch CinemaNext North America with Texas-based Partner CinTech

Ymagis Group, the European specialist in digital technologies for the cinema industry, announced that it has agreed with Dallas-based CinTech LLC to form a new, full- service exhibitor services company in North America. Under the terms of the agreement and subject to the fulfillment of conditions precedent, a new company, CinemaNext North America, will be created with Ymagis Group acquiring a 75% stake and CinTech the remaining 25%. CinemaNext North America will be managed by industry veteran Stan Hays. Both parties intend to start operations during Q2.

Eclair Announces International Launch of EclairPlay

During CinemaCon 2017, Eclair, Ymagis Group’s content services business unit, has announced the launch of EclairPlay, its new all-in-one download platform connecting exhibitors and content owners around the world. The EclairPlay platform is designed for cinema exhibitors, providing access to a growing range of DCP content available for download and projection as well as to all tools and content marketing material necessary for successful programming and audience building.

Starbreeze acquires Nozon and its technology PresenZ…

Starbreeze AB, an independent creator, publisher and distributor of high quality entertainment products, announced its acquisition of the Belgian Visual Effects (VFX) studio and PresenZ technology creator Nozon, for a total consideration of 7.1 MEUR, whereof 4.6 MEUR (approximately 44.6 MSEK) in cash and 2.5 MEUR in newly issued Starbreeze B-shares.

MK2 VR, the first permanent space entirely devoted to Virtual Reality in Europe

In partnership with BNP Paribas, mk2 VR, the first permanent space entirely devoted to virtual reality, opens its doors tomorrow, December 9th at 6:00 PM in Paris. After two years of research and development, and with an investment of 1.5 million euros, mk2 VR will be unveiled at the mk2 Bibliothèque movie theatre.
